HOW IT ALL STARTED

The first Baldwin Park Youth Film Festival was held in the spring of 2012 at Baldwin Park High School. IMPACT Academy hosted the event. The founder and director of the festival is Hugh van der Linden (one of the school's counselors). The film festival has out grown the high school, and is now held every spring at the Baldwin Park Performing Arts Center. It is open to all teenagers in the city of Baldwin Park. The BPYFF was the only youth film festival in the entire San Gabriel Valley at the time.
